DMCA Policy

To protect intellectual property rights and ensure an equitable streaming environment for Indian users, Castle operates in full compliance with India’s Copyright Act of 1957 as well as Title II of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512. This policy explains how to report violations of your copyright, send us counter-notices if any of your Content has been removed, and contact our designated copyright agent.

Reporting Copyright Violations

Email our DMCA takedown notice publisher if you believe that your copyrighted work has been used on Castle in a way that constitutes copyright infringement and is accessible on this site. For your complaint to be valid under the DMCA, you must provide all of the following information when providing notice of the claimed copyright infringement:
Identify the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed or - if multiple copyrighted works are covered by this Notice - you may provide a representative list of the copyrighted works that you claim have been infringed.
Your full legal name, and current email address, telephone number, and mailing address;
a statement, whether in your real or digital signature, made under penalty of perjury that the information you are submitting is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
a statement under penalty of perjury that you are the owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf not making a false claim content is infringing, and that neither you nor your agent are acting for an invalid assertion of the law;
In these cases we act under the standard Operating procedures, as soon as possible - and at latest - within 24 hours after receiving a notice of a verified breach of the information on our servers; We will see to remove or disable access to any material found to be infringing or found otherwise unacceptable.

The Counter-Notification Process

If you believe your material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification containing:(i) Your contact information.(ii) Identification of the removed material and its original location.(iii) A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the removal was mistaken.(iv) A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of your local court.
(v) Proof that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on their behalf;
Process:Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complainant. If they do not file a court action within 10-14 business days, we may reinstate the material at our discretion.

Policy for Repeat Infringers

Castle continues to be committed, however, to a zero-tolerance policy regarding repeat infringers. Upon receipt of three or more valid takedown notices from a user, Castle provides automated suppression, removal and/or deindexing on its website, app and elsewhere. We're under legal ground to submit this information to the copyright holders. The right to download, store, or output the materials in the service is granted for the user's personal use only, and the materials may not be reproduced in any edited form.
